A new puppy is exciting, but it can also be exhausting. After sharing my life with five rescue dogs over many years, I welcomed my second puppy two years ago and was quickly reminded just how much work puppies can be.
My two-hour home puppy consultation gives you practical, personalised support before your puppy arrives or during those important first weeks together.
Before we meet, I’ll send you a questionnaire covering your puppy, household, routines and any concerns. During the consultation, we’ll work through your questions and create a plan that may cover settling in, sleep, toilet training, biting, appropriate socialisation, enrichment, introducing time alone, safe surroundings and good habits from the start.

Rescue Consultations
Having shared my life with five rescue dogs over many years, I understand how rewarding, and sometimes uncertain the early weeks together can feel.
Rescue dogs may have experienced considerable change and stress before arriving in their new home. Even a well-run rescue centre can be an overwhelming environment, and moving into a new household brings another significant period of adjustment.
My two-hour rescue consultation can take place before your dog arrives or during this important settling-in period, giving you practical, personalised support from the start.
Before we meet, I’ll send you a questionnaire covering your dog’s known history, household, routines and any concerns. During the consultation, we’ll create an individual plan that may include safe spaces, predictable routines, sleep, introductions, enrichment, introducing time alone, reducing avoidable stress and the foundations of gentle, reward-based training.
There is no fixed timetable. Some dogs benefit from a quieter period of adjustment, while others are ready for gentle training sooner. We’ll follow your individual dog and discuss what to expect as they begin to settle, along with when further training or behaviour support may help.
Where an in-home meeting is not the most appropriate starting point, an online consultation can be arranged.
